Loving that it's warm again and we get to have SPRING BREAK!!! Off to Utah later this week, but today, we play!

Why not

Josh was in charge of bringing Benson to school today because I was out running errands. I picked him up at the end of the day and I immediately notice that Josh had Benson wear his SLIPPERS to school today. WHAT?!?! I didn't even ask. Benson thought it was hilarious. Josh probably didn't even think it was odd. 

All Start Sports Clas

Cason's last Sports Class today. He got a medal. haha! So cute! I must say, the Park Districts in Illinois are amazing! So many fun programs!

Benson's Sprots Class also ended today, so a medal he received as well :)

Indoor fun

It's a little chilly this week, so the kiddos welcomed Spring with an indoor play. 

Only in Chicago.

It snowed this weekend. Today it's 72 degrees. Then the weather drops again. Oh my, Illinois, you'd better watch your attitude or we're going to have some serious issues.

Oh, hello Spring....

It's supposed to melt tomorrow and be warm and beautiful later this week again. I like to look at this as an answer to my prayer. Hopefully this killed off the three snakes in my neighbor's yard that I've been obsessively staring at for a week now making sure they haven't moved into our yard.

Today was a Chicago day. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Chicago days. Plus, when it's warm it's EVEN BETTER!

There is a new and HUGE park in Millenium Park that we pretty much took over. It is AWESOME!

Cason has a reading class at the library on Wednesdays. Afterwards, they read. Melts my heart every time.

The Power of Ten

WEll, it's warm and beautiful outside. The snow has melted, the Sun is shining and Cason's number of the week is 10....So, we went in the backyard and found 10 things that had been buried under the snow all Winter. No joke. 

Picking up ten sticks (or branches) on our walk today. 

James Swanson

I'm a nerd and I don't care. For Book Club this last month we read, Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln's Killer.  I really liked the book and double bonus--the author came to our area to speak about it, and I was definitely there! haha! It was a fun night with some fun friends and I learned a lot. 

Touring Geneva

With the Sun finally coming out,the snow all melted, and the weather warming up, I can recommence my love affair with Illinois. Illinois, it was a close call this year. You and I almost broke up for good a couple of times. Try and treat me better from now on, please.

 To celebrate the warmth, I took the kiddos to Graham's chocolate and Egg Harbor for brunch.

Park time

Snow is MELTING! February was just cruel. Luckily, March is warming up FAST!!! We only needed a light jacket today. Hopefully only a couple more days until the snow is gone!
