Our powder room had this really ornate (loud) wallpaper. It would have probably been fine to stay, but the granite countertop has white & black swirls and it just did NOT match. And since it is cheaper to paint a wall rather than replace a countertop...the wallpaper went. It only took a few hours from start to finish, but I love it now!

It's actually the same grey/blue as the laundry room but I couldn't get a good picture. Oh, and Josh got me the rug I wanted to the laundry room yesterday!!!! So, now the room is officially completed. Stay tuned to see where I ended up moving the shoes racks (that was the stipulation to getting the rug, I had to take the shoes racks out of the laundry room).

Last week we also hit up the beach. love it.

We also went to the Museum of Science and Industry with Peyton and then he came over and then he spent the night with us. Benson was in heaven! He missed Peyton soooo much this Summer while he was in Utah visiting family!

b-day time

For my birthday this last week we decided to take a drive. We drove up to Lake Forest and Lake Bluff, IL to check out the high school there. Yes, this is a high school!!! It's the most beautiful school I've ever seen. It's been in a few movies too--"10 Things I hate about You" and I'm pretty sure "Mean Girls" as well as a few others. I ran past this during RAGNAR and wanted to come back and just look at how pretty it is.

We also ventured into Wisconsin to do a little shopping at the outlets there. We went to Restoration Hardware and got a dining room table! awesome!

Benson's drawings are getting really good!!! He drew this train ALL BY HIMSELF!!! HE also did some random drawing and then he drew his family camping in a tent. What a stud!

We had a BBQ last weekend and invited some friends from the city to join us. Josh was calling it a birthday party for me and I kept trying to call it a housewarming party, but Josh won out. It couldn't really  have been a housewarming party anyways, because I currently have too many projects underway that I need to have completed before I will let anyone see our house :)
