Thanksgiving--food

BYU basketball

BYU was in town last weekend for a Thanksgiving Tournament. We were able to get some tickets (thank you, Ben Hartsock!) The Cougars played the UofW Badgers, and we lost :(...That's all right! It was still fun to see our team play in Illinois! And the boys were able to experience their first BYU basketball game!

Shedd Aquarium

These we're taken on my phone, so they are not the best quality...

We went to the Shedd Aquarium this last week and Benson had a BLAST! We haven't been in a long time because it's a VERY expensive place, and on the free days it's a zoo!!!

Can you tell I'm FINALLY getting the hang of our camera!?!?! We've had it 3 1/2 years and I'm just now starting to consistently use the manual setting (well for the last month or so I have). I've been taking pictures like crazy lately as I work to understand what I'm doing...In fact, some of the photographs I'm posting today aren't even edited...I'm not going to say which ones because it makes me feel good to know that some of my raw shots look almost as decent as the edited ones...I hope my friend, Kati, is proud of me:)

I have downloaded the free photoshop program GIMP II and I have started using it lately. Is it worth the time? Do my photographs look better? I hope so...more to come tomorrow

It's Josh's brother, Marshall's, 20th birthday today!!!! He is faithfully serving a mission for our Church in Washington D.C. so we know he won't see this post, but we wanted to wish him a happy birthday!

It's my dear friend, Heather's, 26th birthday tomorrow! I hope you have a great day! Hope Allen spoils you rotten :)
