the end of a decade

It's no secret what my New Year's resolutions are---lose the last of the weight and get a rockin' haricut. Addiontally, I have other that I'm just going to keep to myself...

As for 2009, what a great year! I mean it had its moments of not-so-great-things (mostly relating to the economy), but for our little McLane Family it was great year. We welcomed a beautiful boy into our family, we passed 2 Bar Exams , we moved to Illinois, we went on some fabulous vacations, we had great adventures, and we have just enjoyed our time together.

Anywho, what a great year 2009 was and what a great year 2010 will be. Good luck in the New Year to everyone!

We got a new leather couch today. We found it on Craigslist for only $110!!!! Thanks to my mom and dad for getting it for us for Christmas!!! We love it!!!

hair cut

So, there's a new year approaching and besides my resolution of getting the last weight off my body (which will happen-I've already started) I am going for a new hair-do as well. I've always been pretty boring with my hair, and I've decided to try something fun. If I don't like it then no harm done--hair always grows back. Here's a picture of Taylor Swift with the hair cut I want. Granted, she has extensions so my hair won't be that long (it will probably be the length of her first layer), but it will be that blond and I will have bangs. Look for my new look sometime in January (after I find an amazing hair stylist that won't screw up my hair and make me look ridiculous!) What do you all think?

over-eating

So, this might be "TMI" (too much information) as my dad would say, but I'm sharing it anyways....

Yesterday, after a culmination of three days of stuffing my face, I threw up from over eating. I. kid. you. not. I was on my third bowl of my mom's yummy baked potato soup and my body just had it. I won't go into details, but it was just ridiculous that I threw up because my body literally couldn't handle any more food. That's when you know you're eating well. It's a good thing the holidays are over.

Total damage done? I gained 1.5 pounds. Thank goodness for New Year's resolutions. Mine is to get the last of the baby weight off and get into shape before Matt and Emily get married in May.

Which brings me to my other news...My brother-in-law, Matt, aka Josh's little brother, is getting married in May to Emily Campbell (she's from Mission Viejo, but they met at BYU). We are SOOOOOO excited for them!!!! I'm so excited to have another sister-in-law! So fun!

Teddy Bear

I never posted the pictures from Halloween...They are somewhere...So, one cold day we dressed him up again in the same outfit and played with him in our backyard...So, here is what he wore for Halloween (although we colored his nose black on Halloween).

Lights, camera, action!

Back in November we went to the Chicago Parade of Lights (I think that's what it's called). There were a lot of people and there was a lot of noise and Benson was NOT impressed. It was fun to see all the Christmas lights and watch the fireworks show though. We'll probably never do it again because there were so. many. people. At least we can say we did it once!





It was fun to have Grandma and Grandpa Blonquist there.
